Windows 7 Beta

OK. I finally got brave enough to try Windows 7 Beta. I've got a laptop that I can dedicate to it, so I thought I'd give it a try.
I started by finding a link to the download. First mistake-it won't work with Firefox. So I had to use Internet Explorer. I downloaded it, and it was pretty fast considering it's over 2 gigs. I paused the download while I had to leave the office for a while; maybe I shouldn't have. I continued the download once I returned. Once it finished, I burned a DVD. The next day, today, I started to install it on my laptop. It went through the process of setting everything up, the partitioning, etc. I ended up deleting all the partitions and formatting a new one. The install went well until it started expanding files, and the I got a message that files were corrupt or missing. I turned off the laptop, burned a new DVD, and started the installation process again. Once again I got the same message. I remembered I had paused the download. So I went back to my email with the link to the download page and product key, and I downloaded it again. Once again it went pretty fast. I burned a new DVD and once again tried to install it on the laptop. This time it worked.
It looks nice, pretty in fact, and I'm going to have to experiment with it some more to see how it compares to XP (haven't tried Vista). It looks pretty good so far except for one thing-it didn't pick up my wireless component, so now I figure I'll have to install the driver from the original systems disk that came with the laptop. But I'll do that at home later on. I'm hoping it works and that I'll be able to connect so that I can start downloading the recommended software.
Office 2003 seems to be working well so far.
